Things that have made me happy today.

     

• Waking up without a stomach bug.
• Listening to "Bread Pudding" and "Sailcat" and a few other Shawnee Boys favorites over breakfast.
• Short sleeves + Sunshine + 70º forecast all week!
• Promise from our contractor that we'll have the house back by the weekend.
• Being home, even if it is the epitome of chaos and mess at the moment.
• Luke practicing his new skill of "lining things up" with all of his cars and trucks.
• Seeing scores of men at Tom Thumb over their lunch hour, paying way too much for a dozen roses and the most hideous heart-holding stuffed animals ever. (One guy had a gorilla! Really!?! Who was he trying to impress? Jane??)
• Eating sandwiches on the front porch with Luke pointing out all the "cahs" and "dump tucks" as they drive past.
• Getting Luke down for a nap and then being surprised by M&M's, a beautiful potted begonia, and my favorite Valentine at the dining room table.
• Spending a few moments to think about how much I have to be grateful for...

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

The LORD watches over you—
