"Vulturing" is totally acceptable.

On the other hand, once you have a table, take your time. Don't let
those other vultures intimidate you! Just relax, enjoy your cafe au
lait and bignets, watch the crazy tourists (not sophisticated like
*you*), and wait for your husband to get so sympathic for those around
you that he physically removes you from the premises.
